We have the mechanics for a RepRap Darwin. There are some problems with the mechanics that need some tinkering. But other than that all we need is the electronics to do some magic.

After we have the Darwin finished we should be able to bootstrap to a Mendel.

We are planning to build a RepRap version II "Mendel". The plan is something like this:

We'll have three parallell tracks, the electronics, the mechanics and the extruder. Each of the tracks has two phases:

1) get the parts

2) build it

Here is a list of the parts needed:

Electronics:

• 1 x Motherboard
• 1 x Usb and power connector
• 3 x Stepper driver
• 3 x Opto endstops
• 1 x Extruder controller

Mechanics:

• Plastic parts (from piratverkstans reprap or from our own Darwin once it's finished)
• 9 x 1m of M8 Studding (gängstav)
• 3 x 1m of 8mm Bar
• 48 x 624 bearings and 2 x 608 Bearings (can be ordered here: http://reprapsource.com/en/shop/list/202 for 30 euro)
